The male mc in this book was really cute sometimes, but then there were moments he behaved like a complete caveman and it ruined it for me.

In this novel Rosie, who we meet in Fix Her Up finally gets the courage to leave her husband Dominic, this is a complete shock to the unsuspecting husband who thinks everything is just fine.

As a married woman, I was really excited to read a book about a couple fighting to save their marriage, rather than a love story about a couple finding each other, so I requested and received an ARC. Dominic’s letter to his wife so breathtaking and tearjerking, even a robot could start to cry or tear up his metallic pieces to show his sorrow after reading it! Never in a million years did Rosie believe her stoic, too-manly-to-emote husband would actually agree to relationship rehab with a weed-smoking hippie. The entire idea of a failed marriage and then going to therapy to fix it, is realistic and I was very excited to see how they would solve their trust issues and overall problems in their marriage and get back together. It seems like the couple had resolved everything, but Dominic was holding back one more thing and there was no reason for it.

They're flawed but they acknowledged those flaws and they both realised they played a part in neglecting their marriage. Since it was her decision to go to the therapy I was already more on her side since I just didn’t like Dom.The writing in general was great, but FML, the story was superficial, unrealistic and so over the top, I can't even!

Dominic is an annoying, emotionally underdeveloped alpha male who is rewarded for every bit of his overbearing and posssesive behaviors. However, I would have been much happier with this book had Rosie and Dominic indicated that they would be continuing some form of therapy going forward past the end of the book. I agree completely about the book leaving things open in terms of how Rosie and Dominic will proceed. And I always enjoy the competence characters always have in tandem, although I think it’s a dangerous stereotype to be peddling.
