Review left for our 11 year old daughter: No spoilers from me - This book was very funny, I couldn't put it down. The humour is deft, the dialogue great and Anisha’s multi-generational British Indian family is an inclusive and wonderful world to escape into. We work closely with publishers and authors to ensure that we offer the best books on the market for your child. Emma McCann (Illustrator) Emma McCann is a freelance illustrator, sporadic painter/print maker, occasional cake baker, and regular mess maker.

You can feel the effort that has gone into making the story engaging and the 'twists and turns' of the story leave you wondering what will happen next. It's up to Anisha to find Uncle Tony with the help of her best friend Milo, and she has a hunch the culprit is somebody close to the family. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others.Omar's mosque is in danger of being closed down, so quick-thinking Omar holds a school talent show to raise the money needed for the emergency building repairs. Milo can't wait to see the wildlife, Manny's learning survival skills, and even Granny's going to have a go at archery. And, as it's nearly DIWALI, Granny Jas is cooking non-stop, and Auntie Bindi is determined to BRING THE BLING.

Serena Patel is the author of the Anisha, Accidental Detective series which won the Sainsbury's Children's Book Award for Fiction. It is also a great book for British Indian girls who now have a central character in a book, that they can relate to.I studied illustration at Kingston University, London, and my second children’s picture book was longlisted for the Kate Greenaway Medal in 2005. Honestly, I just want to read my book, but there's NEVER any time to relax for Anisha, Accidental Detective. Anisha's personality leaps off the page, completely realistic for a girl of her age and the various embarrassments caused by grown ups in her life that kids of that age can easily relate to. When the money goes missing, it's up to Omar and his friends to become super spies to track down the culprit!

We are eagerly anticipating the second book; I hope to hear much more from this author in the future. I can't wait for three days having fun with my friends, learning about animal habitats and being free from grown-ups.

I’ve just found a ransom note, pushed through the letter box, saying Uncle Tony, Bindi’s husband-to-be, has been kidnapped, and will only be freed if the wedding is cancelled! The chaotic warmth of an eccentric extended family underpins this exhilarating romp which touches upon children's insecurity about change. She lives in the West Midlands with her family and believes all children deserve to feel seen in the stories they read and that books are an important tool for empathy. We can’t wait to read the next book in the series, especially after reading the taster chapter at the end of the book!
